Seed Sovereignty in India

We wanted to quickly share this short film done by The Source Project on seeds in India. All of the other videos on their site are also worth watching. The video is about Natabar Sarangi, who has managed to re-introduce at least 350 varieties of indigenous rice in India.

Another video, “Not a Very Green Revolution” shows great footage of farm workers in the Punjab interspersed with an interview with Devinder Sharma. These videos are short, but carry a lot of nuanced visuals and ideas that make them great for giving people an immediate sense of what is going on with Agro-industry in the global South.

More to come!
